About Alex Dietterle

Our school teaches traditional Chinese Martial Arts.

With a varied martial arts background, my formal training started in 1994 with ITSWASA, which was then headed by the late Sifu Leslie Reed. I started my studies with Sifu Wayne Pinto within the organisation, where I was later invited as a close door disciple. The South African branch fell under the ITSWA (International Tai Chi Chuan and Wushu Association), which is headed by Sifu Derek Frearson. The core of our practice focuses on the traditional Chineese Martial Arts and very specifically on Wing Chun, 7-Star Praying Mantis, Yang Tai Chi and Chi-Gung, which is what I still teach and practice today.

It is with honour that I have been able to travel to Hong Kong and learn from a true master such as Lee Kam Wing

and highly respected level 10 master Sifu Derek Frearson (in Leicester). I am still in contact with Sifu Wayne in South Africa, whose teachings are held in the highest regard. I am currently completing my international teaching license with ITSWA.

A true martial artist knows and respects the history, the ancestry as well as the practice and skill of their art.

I have started the school to promote the traditional systems and forms, in the way they have been handed and taught to me.

Students benefit from our classes through increased fitness, mental health an increased focus of mind, practical self defence, self-awareness and developing a positive attitude. We love Kung Fu and would like to introduce you to reaping the benefits. All students at all levels are welcome.
